Worship Music Recommendation

yesterday, our church experienced a unique worship service. Keith and Kristyn Getty–Irish musicians who are currently touring the US with their worship hymns and songs–came to Covenant Life and led us in our singing time together. They are most well-known for their song, “The Power of the Cross,” which was written with Stuart Townsend of the UK. Not only are they talented musicians, who play the piano and sing beautifully, but wonderful Christians who helped to point our church to God and His Word through their thoughtful and theologically-informed lyrics. I was very moved during the service, and found their music to be so God-glorifying…they didn’t “perform”; they “praised” God. After each of the services (9 and 11:30), they even greeted members of CLC in the lobby and also sold their c.d.’s to whoever wanted to purchase them…

Dad, who rarely buys c.d.’s of any sort, surprised our family by coming home with not just one, but all THREE of them! =) Way to go, Dad! I guess now we are prepped for months of new songs and tunes to play as the background kitchen music in our house…check ’em out!
